What happens to what you share when you answer a survey, sign up for a chat or are interviewed with Tell Us More.
Who we are
Tell Us More is a product research app run by Dylan Egan. If you have a question about anything here, or want to ask about what we hold about you, email privacy@tellusmore.app.
What we collect
- Your survey answers, exactly as you gave them.
- Your name and email, only if you give them: when you sign up for a chat, tick a box asking to chat or hear what we find out, or answer through a personal link we sent you.
- Interview notes, if you talk to us: what you said, as we typed it during the interview.
- Server logs, like your IP address and browser, which every website keeps to run and protect itself.
Why
To do product research: to understand what people need, so we can build things that help them. We only contact you for what you asked for, like arranging a chat or sending you what we found out.
Anonymous answers
If you answer a survey without giving your name or email, your answers aren't linked to you. They're only linked to you if you sign up, answer through a personal link, or ask to chat or hear back.
Who else sees it
- Hetzner hosts the app and its data, on servers in Germany.
- Anthropic: interview notes are sent to Anthropic's Claude to be organised against the questions they answer.
Nothing you share is sold, or shared for advertising.
How long we keep it
For as long as the research it belongs to is in use, or until you ask us to remove it. Once removed, it can take a few weeks to leave our server backups as older ones are replaced.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or removed, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time. Email privacy@tellusmore.app and we'll take care of it.
Changes
We'll update this page if any of this changes. Last updated 29 October 2026.
